Whilst our preference is to sell domains outright, in certain circumstances we are not against leasing higher value domains. Should you choose to lease then you may elect to purchase at anytime during the lease period. The minimum lease period is for twelve months and in three monthly (quarterly) cycles thereafter.
The lease option only applies to domains owned by Eurocom Domains and is not available on domains being sold on behalf of third parties.
Leasing allows you to preserve your capital for either web development or the acquisition of further domains as part of an investment portfolio.
Naturally, if you choose to park your domains then all parking revenue belongs to you.
Our formula for leasing is very simple. The monthly lease charge is assessed at 1.25% of the domain’s appraised value. Thus if the domain is valued at $4,500 the monthly lease charge would be $56.25. To be eligible for leasing, domains must have an appraised value of at least $2,000. Lease charges are payable quarterly in advance.
If at any stage you wish to purchase the domain you may do so at the original purchase price (notwithstanding any increase in value that may have taken place as a result of web development or natural increase). You will also receive a credit equivalent to 50% of any lease fees paid.
Thus, using the above example, if the domain was valued at $4,500 and you decided to lease, your quarterly payments would be $56.25 x 3 = $168.75. If after 18 months you wished to purchase the domain then you would receive a credit of $506.25 against the purchase price, being 50% of the $1,012.50 paid in lease charges.
